Museography

Starting with precise knowledge of visitors’ expectations, we accompany you through all stages of exhibit design: market studies, defining the exhibit subjects, researching content, determining the guiding theme of the exhibition and the story to tell visitors, elaborating the museum program, defining the appropriate modes and tools of mediation, etc.

Curious by nature, we are interested in and passionate about all subjects!

REFINING YOUR PROJECT

Diagnostics and feasibility study

Do you have an idea for an exhibit, a museum, or an interpretative tour and would like to make sure it is feasible?

To make sure you have all the information you need, we can help you define your project. We conduct market and feasibility studies that analyze the region, the culture, and the tourist market. We study the types of clients, other cultural sites and facilities and assess their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT analysis).

Our goal? To provide you with the information you need for decision-making and negotiating in order to bring your project to life and position it strategically.

DEFINING YOUR PROJECT AND THE STORY TO BE TOLD

Planning Scientific or Cultural Projects

You want to design your project? We are here to make it a reality:

  • We define the project according to your needs and your target audiences’ expectations
  • We draw up the scientific or cultural project detail
  • We create functional diagrams of your equipment (distribution of exhibit spaces, reception, shop, outdoor pathways, etc.)
  • We propose an interpretation concept and museographic guidelines
  • We determine and prioritize the messages you want conveyed to your visitors
  • We prepare the synopsis of the exhibition
  • We study your collections and analyze their place in the exhibition
  • We define and design the appropriate mediation devices
  • We offer support during all the phases of your project

We attach particular importance to working with you at each of these steps, so that the project is always co-designed in accordance with your preferences.

ENSURING AN INNOVATIVE PROJECT

Museography and innovation

To make your project attractive and innovative, we create tailor-made tools for mediation suited to the purpose of your project, the messages you want to convey, and the behavior of your target audiences.

For us, the content dictates the means, and not the other way around.

The tools we create are designed to heighten visitors’ curiosity and guide them through a participatory visit (objects they can handle, interactive modules, children’s activities, educational packs, multisensory devices, etc.)

Convinced that digital technology has its place in museums, we are constantly up to date on the use of ICTs in mediating content, enabling us to design a variety of digital experiences (touchscreens, interactive kiosks, 360° immersive, mapping, digital geomapping, tablets, smartphone apps, etc.).

We are also constantly working on accessibility (Tourisme & Handicaps certification, specific mediation devices).

HELPING YOU PRESERVE YOUR COLLECTION

Conservation and management

Our expertise in conservation and managing art and artefacts means we conduct inventories, collection studies, and preventive conservation diagnostics in your facilities (showrooms, warehouses), as well as audits to advise you in managing your collection (such as methodology, training, conservation planning, obtaining certifications, and financing).
